W.4. Energy efficiency assessment

The objectives of WP4 are to define the methodology to: - To measure the energy efficiency gains of the ICT solutions applied in each pilot. - To measure the energy consumption of the ICT solutions applied in each pilot. - To translate energy consumption / carbon footprint to a less abstract parameter, e.g. euros. Behavioural change towards sustainable transport modes is driven only through user awareness of how much they consume in relation to something they understand and value. In WP4, we will: • take the WP2 definition of mobility option • break what we understand by ‘mobility option’ to the lowest level of granularity, taking into consideration both transportation means and distance sought/ routing options • assign an energy/CO2 label to each identified lowest granularity mobility option • design the algorithm to be used by a computational engine in order to output ‘global’ Energy/CO2 computed values (per user, per routing, per means of transportation etc.), based on input information concerning the Energy/CO2
